Hosta Gracillima

gracillima is a species found in the mountain valleys of Kochi Prefecture, Shikoku. Named Hime Iwa Giboshi in Japanese, meaning `"small rock hosta."' It is one of the smallest species. The name gracilis means gracefully slender, for its very long and slender flowers. Plants belonging to this species are excellent in the rock or miniature garden and are used in Japan for pot culture, so they are ideal for accent plants.
