Pachyphytum oviferum is a Mexican succulent, the most beautiful of the species, with blue green rounded leaves resembling sugared almonds. It has a white bloom on the elongated, egg-shaped leaves and drooping clusters of very hooded, dark-red flowers, from the end of winter to early spring.
Cultivation
In frost-prone climates, grow on a windowsill, in a greenhouse or conservatory, in pots of well-drained cactus compost. Plants need maximum light but shade from strong sun. When in growth, water in moderation, but keep compost dry in winter.
